Leading Hearts — Point of Grace

For the Spring ‘23 issue of Leading Hearts I was honored to speak with Shelley Breen of Point of Grace. So fun to speak with one of the artists that first introduced me to CCM music as a teenager.

Leading Hearts — Yancy

From the Leading Hearts Holiday 2022 issue, it was such an honor to speak with Yancy about her years of leading kids in worship.

Leading Hearts — Katy Nichole

Absolutely loved the opportunity to speak with Katy Nichole in the Spring! Totally not surprised by the tremendous success she's had this year. "In Jesus Name (God of Possible)" is such an anointed song.

I’ll Be There (But I’ll Be Wearing Sweatpants) {book review}

Available now! I’ll Be There (But I’ll Be Wearing Sweatpants) is my first read and book launch that I’ve been blessed to be part of in 2022. I’ve throughly enjoyed laughing, crying, and totally relating to the wonderful authors of the “Sister, I am with you” online community. It’s so refreshing to read the authentic and real words about the blood, sweat, and tears that occur with deep friendship and sisterhood.  Amy and Jess talk about the challenges and blessings of stepping out and being vulnerable, including the spiritual experience it is when you find those deep connections. They speak the truth that makes every girl feel like they’ve been seen and heard, as well as including ways to step out in ways to find those cherished friendships.  I quickly found myself sharing referrals with my dearest friends suggesting they check out this wonderful book also. I can easily see this becoming a great read for book clubs or small groups to discuss. So grab your favorite pair of sweat...

Leading Hearts — Sinach

AVAILABLE NOW— The Significantly Issue from Leading Hearts Magazine! It’s a new year and significant that God is up to something or a few 10,000 exciting somethings. What an amazing time to be alive and sharing His messages with others. Years ago when God opened the door for me to continue my writing journey with Leading Hearts, I couldn’t possibly fathom the opportunities that He had in store for me. And, that certainly includes the monumental 2019 interview with Michael W. Smith that continues to bloom offshoots of blessing. As we were wrapping up the interview, I’ll never forget Michael saying, “I feel like my best days are ahead. I feel like my best work is yet to come… I feel like something is getting ready to happen… I don’t really know how to explain what I feel like God is going to do on the earth…” And, it certainly did, less than a year later the world would face uncertainty during the beginning of the global pandemic but God would use Michael and other amazing artists to rel...

How to Have Your Life Not Suck (book review)

With funny, Biblically-based one-liners like "No ringy, no dingy," Bianca Olthoff does not mince words and creates a powerful, truthful punch. Having heard Bianca speak at multiple conferences, I knew this book would be life-changing and was it ever! “How to Have Your Life Not Suck” is a breath of fresh air and encouragement from page one.  As a gifted communicator and storyteller, Bianca has a way with words to touch the hearts of generations. I laughed and cried on repeat, and only paused to highlight or post. I could not put the book down! I found myself reading for hours and flying through chapters like Bianca was live in my living room. It hit so close to home and I couldn't wait to hear what she had to say next! If you need a pick-me-up when life gets tough, then "How to Have Your Life Not Suck" will pull you up and put you on the road in the right direction. It's an ideal read for a graduate or someone embarking on a new and uncertain adventure in lif...
